While "revising"-studying in fact- my tcm notes, i had this thought: "it's interesting and make lotsa sense" and then later i thought :"i doubt i'll remember it after i step out of the exam hall"
does it ring a ding-dong bell to you guys?
ding dong...
Somehow i think i'm not taking this module seriously but only used it to cancel off 1 out of the 3 science modules that i have to take. I guess many had the same thinking and i feel a lil ummm for the teacher, but perhaps he knows that we all won't take it seriously so he actually hinted many times that he would provide summary notes (inclusive of tested topics). We shall thank him for being so nice because the notes sure help lots.
The question sinks in more because i think the issue applies to some other subjects that i studied before. Then the next question is: "why study so hard when u aint really gonna remember it?" aha. It's not because i don't want to remember but because of my incapability. So at then end of the day, do we really acquire whatever we learnt? Sadly no, partly due to our memory space constraint but it's okay cos we don't need to know 100%.
Exams after exams, we are supposed to learn more about our standard and improve while we progress to the next level. However, as we get to higher levels, our grades only tell us where we stand among our peers/generation.You might not know what's done wrong on the papers till it hits you hard in reality.
jiayou mugging! :))
